Schopfloch, October 5th, 2007. The SDAX listed HOMAG Group AG will invest
still within this year in its German sites to expand the production area of
2 subidiaries. 'We never left one doubt that Germany is an attractive
production site for our top-quality and sophisticated products. The actual
investments prove these statements' points out Dr. Joachim Brenk, spokesman
of the Board of the world's leading manufacturer of machines and plants for
the woodworking industry.

located in the Swabian St. Johann-Lonsingen will be expanded by 2.800 qm.
Start of construction at the manufacturer of machines and plants for the
production of prefabricated wooden houses is planned for end of October and
shall be terminated until May 2008. In the course of the upcomming year,
approx. 25 new jobs at WEINMANN will thus be provided. Due to the growing
demand for prefabricated wooden houses and the very high level of incoming
orders, this investment has been given priority although it was originally
planned to be executed in 2008 only. Within the first half year of 2007
only, the HOMAG Group AG scored a plus in order income of 96 percent in
this highly increasing market segment.
With this extraordinary growth, the manufacture of prefabricated wooden
houses thus has completely severed itself from the general slow-down in the
real estate market. Spokesman of the Board, Brenk, therefore, expects also
further positive impacts for other market areas of the HOMAG Group. 'As
houses have to be made fit to live in, we do see a big market potential
also for our machines and plants for the manufacture of construction
components such as flooring, stairs, windows or doors and we aim for
realizing cross-selling effects'.
A further decision made is to expand the production site at BARGSTEDT
Handlingsysteme GmbH in Hemmoor near Hamburg, by 2.000 qm, the specialist
within the HOMAG Group for machines and plants for transport and handling.
Target of this expansion is to further increase professionalism of the
permanently growing project-based business. Construction starts end of this
year and shall be completed until spring 2008.
