Hamburg, February 13, 2008 Lloyd Fonds AG is the new principal shareholder
of investment product distributor Feedback AG. The Hamburg-based fund
initiator has acquired for a price of EUR 6.5 million roughly 22 percent of
the new shares issued by Feedback AG. These are new shares which have not
been subscribed to by Feedback AG’s other shareholders. Lloyd Fonds had
announced on January 17, 2008 that it planned to acquire roughly 20 percent
of Feedback’s capital. On February 13, Feedback AG successfully completed
an equity issue of a nominal EUR 3.9 million at a price of EUR 2.00 per
share.
'By acquiring this stake, we are now able to gain access to independent
distributors without Feedback losing its independence as a financial
services provider,' explains Michael F. Seidel, CFO at Lloyd Fonds AG. 'We
have financed this transaction solely using internal funds without needing
to raise any loans. Looking forward, we want to continue playing an active
role in market consolidation by forging partnerships along the entire value
chain.'
Based in Hamburg, Feedback AG has been the holding company since 2006 for
various retail companies primarily engaged in the closed-end fund segment.
Last year, the group achieved equity placements of over EUR 200 million,
making it one of the top three distributors of closed-end funds. Two
subsidiaries play a leading role in assisting independent asset and
investment managers, banks, brokers and their customers. Via NetFonds AG,
Feedback additionally holds a material share in a liability
umbrella.
