The financial services provider MPC Capital AG, Hamburg, continued to grow in the first quarter of 2001: Quarterly turnover rose by 28 percent, from 8.0 million Euros in the previous year’s first quarter to 10.2 million Euro. Quarterly earnings were 1.6 million Euro (previous year: 1.2 million Euros,) thereby yielding a 28 percent increase over the same period last year. As already announced by Deutsche Börse AG at the beginning of May, MPC Capital will be admitted to the SDAX-Index effective June 18. MPC Capital’s Board expects a turnover of approximately 83.8 million Euros for the current year, indicating a 28 percent increase in turnover. The pre-tax result is expected to increase by 34 percent to 14.6 million Euros.
