BECKEN Group and MPC Capital AG establish real estate joint venture

Hamburg, 9 March 2015 – The real estate specialist BECKEN and the asset and investment manager MPC Capital AG plan to collaborate more closely in the German real estate market. To that end, the two Hamburg companies are planning to set up a separate joint venture that will bring together the core skills of both companies. The aim of the venture is the structuring of regulated investment funds with a core / core plus investment strategy focusing on office properties in Germany. Initial project ideas will already be presented to institutional investors at the MIPIM real estate show, which begins tomorrow (10 March 2015) in Cannes.

The BECKEN Group brings to the joint venture around 30 years of experience in identifying and developing real estate projects in Germany’s top seven locations. MPC Capital, active in the asset and investment management area for over 20 years, will contribute its structuring expertise and access to institutional and private investors.

Dieter Becken, Managing Partner of BECKEN Holding, commented: “In establishing the joint venture we are creating an investment platform that will meet both the expectations of professional investors in terms of returns and also the high quality standards required of real estate projects.”

Dr Roman Rocke, Management Board member of MPC Capital AG, added: “Demand for investment opportunities among institutional investors is high. Together with BECKEN, we deliver suitable investment targets of the right size and focus.”
