PANTAFLIX production “HOT DOG” ahead of “STAR WARS”

Munich, 22 January 2018 – “HOT DOG” is the first German Number 1 of the movie year 2018. The action-comedy starring Matthias Schweighöfer and Til Schweiger has succeeded in claiming the top position in German revenue charts during its first weekend in theaters, both in terms of sales and visitors. The previous top performer “STAR WARS: The Last Jedi” finished second behind “HOT DOG”.

“HOT DOG” is also in high demand internationally. Already at this early stage, PANTAFLIX has been able to sell licenses to China, Japan, Taiwan, the Middle East and Spain.

“For us ‘HOT DOG’ is the prelude to a great cinema year. As early as March 2018 we will be showing our next feature film ‘VIELMACHGLAS’ with ‘Fack ju Göhte’-star Jella Haase in German movie theaters,” says Dan Maag, CEO of PANTAFLIX AG.
