DEM 52 Mio. – Unternehmen strebt Umsatzrendite von 18 Prozent an – 1998 Dividende je Aktie von DEM 0,50 Angesichts der guten Geschäftsentwicklung hat die plenum AG, Wiesbaden, die Prognosen für die nächsten zwei Jahre angeboben. So geht das Unternehmen für das Jahr 1999 von einem Umsatz von rd. DEM 52 Mio. (bisher 48,8) und für das Jahr 2000 von rd. DEM 70 Mio. (bisher 66,2) aus. Das Wachstum wird teilweise durch Übernahmen – insbesondere im Rahmen der geplanten Internationalisierung – generiert werden. plenum hält weiterhin am Umsatzziel von rd. DEM 195 Mio. im Jahr 2003 fest. Dies entspricht einer jährlichen Wachstumsrate von 30 bis 40 Prozent. Für die Jahre 1999 und 2000 peilt plenum eine Umsatzrendite bezogen auf das operative Ergebnis (EBIT-Marge) von 18 Prozent an, wobei die Aufwendungen für die Internationalisierung und die Erweiterung des Netzwerkes von Partnerunternehmen (Companions) bereits berücksichtigt worden sind. Nach den heute vorgelegten Zahlen für das Geschäftsjahr 1998 erzielte das Unternehmen einen Umsatzzuwachs um 46,7 Prozent auf DEM 39,6 Mio. (1997: 27). Zugleich steigerte es das operative Betriebsergebnis (EBIT) um 59,6 Prozent auf DEM 8,3 Mio. (1997: 5,2) und erzielte so eine EBIT-Marge von 21,0 Prozent (1997: 19,3). Die Börseneinführungskosten in Höhe von insgesamt DEM 5,2 Mio. wurden unter Anwendung von US-GAAP mit dem Emissionserlös in Höhe von DEM 34 Mio. verrechnet und beeinflußten das Ergebnis nach US-GAAP nicht. Der Jahresüberschuß stieg – bereinigt um steuerliche Sondereffekte aufgrund der Börsengangkosten – um 50 Prozent auf DEM 4,2 Mio. (1997: DEM 2,8 Mio.). Der Gewinn pro Aktie nahm um 49 Prozent von DEM 1,71 im Jahr 1997 auf DEM 2,55 (bereinigt) im Jahr 1998 zu. Der Vorstand wird der Hauptversammlung am 21. Mai 1999 die Zahlung einer Dividende von DEM 0,50 je Aktie vorschlagen. The company expects sales of c. DEM 52 million (formerly 48.8) in 1999 and of c. DEM 70 million (formerly 66.2) in 2000. Growth will be generated in part by acquisitions – especially in the course of the planned internationalization. plenum confirms its sales target of c. DEM 195 million for the year 2003. This corresponds to an annual growth rate of 30 to 40 percent. plenum targets an EBIT margin of 18 percent in 1999 and 2000, having already taken into account in this target the expenses for internationalization and the expansion of the network of partner companies (Companions). According to the financial results for fiscal year 1998 which are presented today plenum achieved sales growth of 46.7 percent to DEM 39.6 million (1997: 27). EBIT rose 59.6 percent to DEM 8.3 million (1997: 5.2). The EBIT margin reached 21.0 percent (1997: 19.3). IPO costs of DEM 5.2 million were set off against the proceeds of the issue according to US-GAAP and did not influence US-GAAP earnings. Net income for the year adjusted for extraordinary tax effects due to IPO costs rose 50 percent to DEM 4.2 million (1997: 2.8). Earnings per share increased 49 percent from DEM 1.71 in 1997 to DEM 2.55 (adjusted) in 1998. The managing board will propose a dividend of DEM 0.50 per share to the annual general meeting on May 21st, 1999.
