The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– plenum wins contract worth millions – plenum to be the long-term strategic development partner of BG-Phoenics GmbH – Largest single contract in the company’s history Wiesbaden/Frankfurt, February 6, 2002: plenum AG, a provider of integrated IT and communication solutions, has been chosen by BG-Phoenics GmbH to be one of only two exclusive development partners. BG-Phoenics GmbH, Hannover, established in August 2000, is the joint IT services provider of the eight occupational health and safety agencies for the German construction industry, as well as of the occupational health and safety agency for the German food and catering industry. This joint project aims to replace legacy systems by a new solution based on state-of-the-art software technology. There are already clear signs that such a system could emerge as the standard software for all of the other 28 occupational health and safety agencies in Germany. The contract has a volume of several million euros and will run initially into 2003. plenum already played a major role in the design phase of the application system, and has now been selected by BG-Phoenics GmbH as a long-term strategic partner. A plenum development team with a total staff of around 30 is currently being established for the project. The first version of the application system is scheduled to be unveiled in 2003. This will then be followed, starting in 2003, by a professional roll-out at the occupational health and safety agencies involved, together with the migration of legacy data to the new system. In addition, an operational organization will be systematically developed. All these are critical success factors for the Phoenics system.
