As a Management Consulting company, plenum is aligned towards the optimisation of business processes and IT structures, particularly for banking, insurance and supply companies. Sound IT expertise represents important key competence. NovaTec GmbH has been in business for 10 years and comprises an extensive IT system office with about 50 employees in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. NovaTec specialises in making available innovative technologies and system solutions in its own IT laboratories adapted to and based on the requirements and business process of the customers. Focus is placed on customer usage, quality and sustainable innovation. Following plenum’s concentration on its core business segments as part of its refocusing strategy, plenum’s about 20 employees in Leinfelden, who are mainly active in development projects, needed new perspectives. At the same time, plenum required access to an efficient IT laboratory in order to assure and further expand its technological expertise in consulting. The strongly-growing NovaTec can offer excellent perspectives to plenum’s employees and simultaneously operate a market-leading IT laboratory in cooperation with plenum. The objectives of the declaration of intent comprise: – the plenum site in Leinfelden including about 20 employees will be transferred to NovaTec effective as of January 1, 2007, – plenum will hold a minority interest in NovaTec, – NovaTec will make available an innovative partnership with a high-performance technological laboratory, – in addition, the managing director of NovaTec, Albrecht Stäbler, will assume managerial tasks in the expansion of the technological consulting of plenum and – all plenum’s current customer projects up through December 31, 2008 shall remain with plenum and NovaTec will make available necessary staff to plenum. plenum and NovaTec deem this strategic partnership to be a downright WinWin-Win Situation-Win Situation. ‘Our employees in Leinfelden harmonise excellently in the core business of NovaTec and plenum and can focus more strongly on Management Consulting.
