publity took over asset management for the Großmarkt property in Leipzig at the end of 2013 and has now once again proved its “manage-to-core” strategy by fully letting this property.
publity Performance Fonds Nr. 5 acquired the market hall and ancillary buildings at the Großmarkt property in 2014. The market was built in 1995 on a site of more than 68,000 m² and is the most important fresh food and logistics centre in the region. The entire region is supplied with fresh fruit and vegetables from this property at Leipzig/Halle airport.
“In line with our manage-to-core approach, over and above fully letting the so-called fresh food market in Leipzig, we have succeeded in extending the average residual terms of the rental agreements. That means that we have also increased the property’s value and we are optimistic that we will be able to realise this added value in the near future via a sale,” commented Thomas Olek, publity AG’s CEO.
