The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– SHS Informationssysteme AG publishes final mid-year figures Growth continued – SHS remains profitable Munich, August 14th 2001 – SHS Informationssysteme AG (Security Id. No. 507240, Neuer Markt) achieved an overall performance of Euro 15.4 million (sales plus work in progress and own costs capitalised) in the first-half 2001 (Previous year in deeming consideration: Euro 13.5 million). This corresponds to a growth of 14 percent compared to the previous year. Taking a view at the individual items, particularly the French subsidiary shows a welcome growth in turnover, it was able to increase the turnover by 140 percent from Euro 0.5 million in same period in the previous year, to Euro 1.2 million in the first-half 2001. The EBITDA amounts to Euro 0.3 million (same period in the previous year Euro 2.6 million). The Board will continue to force the organic growth in the second-half 2001 and its primary objective will be to lead the corporate performance back to a clearly higher level. Apart from the extensive cost-cutting measures, the optimisation of controlling will be promoted. SHS is continuing to focus on the telecommunications sector in which 75 percent of the turnover is generated and on bordering industries such as for instance, on utilities and financial service providers. SHS is expecting an overall performance of over Euro 35 million at a positive EBITDA of over Euro 2 million and thus an EBITDA margin amounting to some 6 per cent for the 12 months 2001.
