– CFC sells brand and trademarks and enters into a long term property lease agreement – Berndes business will be run with Italian investor – Decision of Berndes' committee of creditors expected within the upcoming days Dortmund, September 28 th 2012 CFC Industriebeteiligungen AG (ISIN: DE000A0LBKW6), Dortmund, announces that it has signed a definitive agreement with Alluflon SPA, an Italian cookware manufacturer as strategic investor, related to the acquisition of Berndes assets. Under this agreement CFC will sell its brand and trademark rights related to Berndes. The operating business in future will be run by the new Berndes Küche GmbH in Arnsberg, Germany. Consequently, related jobs as well as production will remain in Germany. Berndes Küche GmbH will enter into a long term property lease agreement with a company that is solely owned by CFC and currently manages the property in Arnsberg. The income from the property lease as well as the sales proceeds will be used to reduce and pay back existing debts and liabilities. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of Berndes' committee of creditors. A decision is expected within the upcoming days. Contact:
