Beiersdorf AG`s Supervisory Board announced after its January 20, 2005 meeting
a much younger Executive Board as Rolf Kunisch and Uwe Wölfer will retire.
Thomas B. Quaas (52) will become Chairman of the Executive Board (CEO)
effective with the Annual General Meeting on May 18, 2005. He started his
career in 1979 with Beiersdorf and is an Executive Board member since 1999.
Responsibility for “Brands” will be taken over by Pieter Nota (40) as of May
1, 2005, an experienced marketing manager from Unilever. Markus Pinger (41),
currently General Manager Beiersdorf Nordics, will assume responsibility for
“Supply Chain” as of April 1, 2005.
With this move, Beiersdorf gets ready for the future: continuity and new ideas
within its Executive Board will secure continuing Sales and Profit growth.
The Supervisory Board wants to thank the retiring Board members for their
successful services for the company.
