Headline: Beiersdorf AG lifts revenue forecast for fiscal year 2012
Beiersdorf Aktiengesellschaft, Hamburg, recorded a 3.7% increase in Group
sales in the three quarters of fiscal year 2012 as against the prior-year
period, to EUR 4,566 million. Sales growth in the Consumer business segment
amounted to 3.7% (sales of EUR 3,816 million) compared with the previous
year, while in the tesa business segment it was 3.5% (sales of EUR 750
million). Group EBIT increased to 12.6%.
Beiersdorf is now forecasting full-year sales growth for the Group and the
Consumer and tesa business segments of 3-4% in each case (previously:
approximately 3%). The company is continuing to expect an EBIT margin for
the Group of around 12%.
The interim report for the third quarter will be published on November 2,
2012, at 08.00 a.m.
