Message:The Board of Directors of ASBISc Enterprises Plc ("TheCompany", "ASBIS") informs that due to the disposal of its subsidiariesin Russia and the complete closure of the Company's operations in thiscountry and related unforeseen one-off events that have occurred (basedon the unaudited consolidated financial statements of the Group for theyear ended 31 December 2023) and information currently available to theBoard of Directors, the Company expects to record for the FY 2023 a NetProfit After Tax of around USD 53.0 million; therefore, the Company willnot reach its Net Profit After Tax ("NPAT") estimates of USD 78-82million.
The Group's Board also informs that without taking into account theone-off events, the Company would have achieved an NPAT of approximatelyUSD 78 million.
A decrease in NPAT by approximately USD 25 million is a result of thecrystallization of a foreign exchange loss of USD 11.5 million, and animpairment loss of USD 13.5 million, (including a loss on disposal ofUSD 1.2 million).
ASBIS does not anticipate any further write-offs related to the closureof its Russian operations.The final NPAT for FY 2023 may bedifferent from what is disclosed in this current report.
