("Company", "Issuer") registered inWroclaw, Poland, hereby reports that today The Company has learned abouta positive decision of the American Patent Office granting the Companypatent protection for an invention entitled _quot;A method of detectinggenetic material in a biological sample and a device for itsimplementation_quot;. Granting a patent is conditional on the Issuer payingthe required official fees for which the Management Board of GenomtecS.A. has agreed.The invention covers the key technical solutionsrelated to the proprietary contactless heating and temperature detectionsystem developed for POCT platforms, including Genomtec ID.TheIssuer informs that this is the second patent granted by the AmericanPatent Office and the tenth patent received by the Company. The Issueris pending over twenty patent applications all over the world.TheIssuer's Management Board decided that the receipt of the above patentis confidential information, as in the case of an entity operating onthe molecular diagnostics market, it is necessary to effectively protectintellectual and industrial property. Properly secured intellectual andindustrial property may constitute the Issuer's competitive advantage -and its safe commercialization is possible provided that full protectionis ensured on selected markets.In the opinion of the ManagementBoard, a high level of intellectual property protection will alsoprovide the Company with an appropriate negotiating position beforesigning commercial agreements with selected partners in the scope ofimplementing the commercialization strategy.Patent proceedingsare aimed at securing key interests and are in line with the Issuer'sdevelopment strategy, which includes building a portfolio ofintellectual property rights. POCT diagnostics using the Genomtec IDplatform is the key area of the Issuer's operations.
