Informationregarding the EMI license passporting
TheManagement Board of Aforti Holding S.A. with its registered office inWarsaw, hereinafter referred to as the _quot;Company_quot;, _quot;Issuer_quot;, in referenceto the ESPI current report 63/2021 dated 23 December 2021, announcesthat it has today received information from Aforti PLC, a subsidiarybased in the United Kingdom, regarding an EU electronic moneyinstitution licensed under the applicable EU directives on paymentservices and electronic money (_quot;EMI_quot;), regarding the submission today ofan application to the Central Bank of Cyprus to passport the EMI licenseto the rest of the European Union.
Thepassporting of the EMI licencse will allow, in line with the AfortiGroup's strategy, to develop its activities in 11 East-Central Europeancountries offering services such as currency exchange, factoring,multi-currency accounts, and currency transfers.
Theacquisition of EMI is part of the Aforti Group's strategy to become apan-European provider of comprehensive financial solutions for Small andMedium Enterprises. The Issuer will inform about further stages of theinvestment in subsequent current reports.
