bmp Holding AG to become SLEEPZ AG: Annual General Meeting to resolve on change in company name Berlin, 11 July 2017 – SLEEPZ AG – this is the name under which bmp Holding AG (“bmp”) is to operate in future. SLEEPZ AG reflects the company’s clear focus on the sleep products segment, meaning that its name is to be adapted in line with its positioning. A corresponding change in the company name will be proposed to the Annual General Meeting 18 August 2017 by the management of bmp. “ With ‘SLEEPZ AG’ and the slogan ‘Union for Sleep Products and Home Decor’, we have chosen a name that expresses our long-term vision and our positioning as a group and that is already established on the market as a brand via our subsidiary sleepz Home GmbH ,” explains Oliver Borrmann, member of the Executive Board of bmp. “ The name also underscores our mutual understanding as a group of companies, thus enabling us to rapidly develop and strengthen our position on the market. “
In addition, the current Supervisory Board member Bernd Brunke has informed the company that after more than 10 years on the Supervisory Board he will be resigning for professional reasons with effect from the end of the Annual General Meeting. The management will recommend that the Annual General Meeting elect Dott. Michele Puller to replace him. This entrepreneur has many years of expertise in commerce and in the sleep products segment.
The convocation of the Annual General Meeting will be published on 11 July 2017 in the Federal Gazette (Bundesanzeiger) and at www.bmp-holding.de .
