12 Ekim 2023 tarihli özel durum açıklamamızda, Whirlpool Corporation ve Arçelik'in kuracağı ortaklık ile ilgili işlemin kapanış koşullarının gerçekleşmesine ilişkin süreç kapsamında; Birleşik Krallık Rekabet ve Piyasalar Otoritesine (UK Competition and Markets Authority - CMA) yapılan başvuruda Faz II - daha detaylı inceleme- sürecine geçildiği kamuya duyurulmuştur.

Yapılan başvuruya ilişkin olarak CMA tarafından yapılan 8 Şubat 2024 tarihli açıklamada CMA'nın görevlendirdiği bağımsız panel tarafından yapılan analizler sonucunda Whirlpool Corporation ve Arçelik arasında kurulacak ortaklığın, rekabeti zedeleyici bir etkisi olmayacağı yönünde ön değerlendirme yapıldığı; nihai raporun ise 26 Mart 2024'e kadar yayımlanmasının beklendiği belirtilmiştir. CMA tarafından alınacak nihai karara bağlı olarak kapanışın 2024 yılının ilk yarısında gerçekleşmesi beklenmektedir.

In our material disclosure dated October 12, 2023, within the scope of the process regarding the closing of the transaction regarding the partnership to be established by Whirlpool Corporation and Arçelik; It has been announced to the public that the application made to the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has started in-dept Phase II investigation.

In the announcement dated February 8, 2024, by the CMA regarding the application, it was stated that a provisional assessment was conducted by an independent panel appointed by the CMA. According to this assessment, it was concluded that the partnership to be established between Whirlpool Corporation and Arçelik is not likely to raise significant competition concerns. The final report is expected to be published by March 26, 2024. The completion of deal is expected in the first half of 2024, depending on the final decision to be taken by the CMA.
