Our application for the establishment of the solar power plant as an additional source (Hybrid SPP) with an additional 44.9997 MWm installed power to our Company's Söke WPP facility with an installed capacity of 49.5 MWm/45 MWe, which is currently in operation and located in Söke district of Aydın province, has been approved by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) and the EMRA Board Decision dated 26.08.2021 and numbered 10374-12 regarding the approval was notified to us on 01.09.2021.

With the fulfilment of the letter of guarantee obligation defined in the relevant EMRA Board Decision and taking the necessary decision specified in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulation, the total installed capacity of our Söke WPP facility will be amended as 94.4997 MWm/45 MWe. Our aim is to complete the aforementioned permit processes in 2021, and subsequently, to commence the construction activities of the facility in 2022. With the completion of the amendment of the generation license and completion of permit processes, it is planned to complete the investment in the additional solar power plant with an installed capacity of 44.9997 MWm and the commissioning of its facility in 2022.

Hybrid power plants, which enable the generation of electrical energy from more than one source in a single generation facility, allow more electricity to be generated within the limits of the installed capacity. In addition, owing to hybrid power plants, the effect of seasonal conditions on electricity generation will be minimized, and the operating time of the power plant will be increased by generating electricity from solar energy at times of insufficient wind speed and from wind energy at times of insufficient sunlight.

In addition to the generation efficiency, there are many decisive advantages of the Hybrid SPP investment planned to be made in Söke WPP. The investment and operational costs will be lower, and the electrical energy to be generated from the solar energy (the additional source) will also be evaluated within the scope of feed-in tariff mechanism (YEKDEM), since the wind generation (the main source) is within the scope of feed-in tariff mechanism (YEKDEM).

It has been brought to public attention.
