Our company's indirect subsidiary, Global Ports Holding ("GPH"), has informed us that a contract has been signed with the Cabo Verde Port Authority (ENAPOR) for the operation of the Mindelo Cruise Port in Cabo Verde, with a duration of 3.5 years (with an option for a 2-year extension).
Under this agreement, GPH will leverage its global expertise and operational model to support the terminal's development, management, and operational success, aiming to enhance the efficiency of port operations. Cabo Verde will become GPH's second port in Africa, following Tunisia. The strategic location of the port, combined with the synergy created with GPH's Canary Islands ports, will strengthen regional connectivity and create new collaboration opportunities.
Mindelo Cruise Port, located in a strategic position on the northwest coast of Africa, serves as a gateway to the twin-island destinations of São Vicente and Santo Antão in Cabo Verde. Situated at the intersection of major Atlantic routes, the terminal is expected to become a key port linking Northern Europe and West African destinations. These developments are expected to increase passenger traffic and contribute to the region's economic growth and tourism. The terminal is projected to accommodate over 60,000 passengers in 2025.
Another significant aspect is the enhancement of Cabo Verde's appeal through effective marketing strategies within the Cruise Destination Development Program (CDDP) that will be prepared by GPH, as well as the implementation of sustainable tourism practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This statement has been translated into English for informational purposes. In case of a discrepancy between the Turkish and the English versions of this disclosure statement, the Turkish version shall prevail.
Respectfully announced to the public.
