Due to recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic, these are unprecedented times in the world and as Kordsa; keeping our employees, customers, all stakeholders and their families safe and healthy is paramount.

Since the first day COVID-19 was seen in our country, with this sensitivity and in line with the measures on occupational and public health announced by our Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Scientific Committee; various administrative and operational decisions have been implemented by our company and factories. The first measures began with the cessation of all international travels by the end of February. When the COVID-19 virus was observed in Turkey, two separate crisis committees have been formed. First one being The COVID-19 Coordination Team, that collects and reports daily status summaries in terms of employees, customers and suppliers, from all regions in which Kordsa operates. Whereas, COVID-19 Crisis Supreme Board determines the decisions to be made by evaluating the reports of the COVID-19 Coordination Team through daily meetings and ensures implementation of the decisions with the coordination of deputy general managers of the regions. These teams follow the developments, risk analysis and reports closely and take actions accordingly.

Employees, Kordsa's most important value, are informed on all platforms through videos and announcements on practicing social distancing, hygiene and health regularly. Following the cessation of employees' international travels, 14 days of quarantine measure has been implemented for the employees who returned from abroad and Umrah. Employees over the age of 60 and in the risk group have been identified and have been contacted to stay at home on administrative leave.

Considering the spread rate of the epidemic, it is ensured that employees other than those who has to be in the office for work are switched to full-time remote working. For the teams that need to continue working, the materials and food available in the dining halls are taken under close supervision, lunch hours are stretched and a new seating arrangement is provided to have limited number of employees present simultaneously. Regular disinfection works are carried out in shuttles, offices and all common areas, and hygiene training has been provided for the service staff.

The COVID-19 Coordination Team and the COVID-19 Crisis Supreme Board continue to actualise new practices and actions required by the status by following the developments instantly. Although we do not have a facility that halted the production at the moment, it may be possible to slow down or stop production in line with both the decisions to be made by the health organisations in relevant countries and also due to consideration of the demand-side declines. In the event within scope of the framework of the Communiqué on Special Cases II-15.1, public will be informed separately.

Kordsa, a subsidiary of Sabancı Holding, will continue to produce economic benefits for our country and investors altogether by taking all necessary precautions regarding health and safety in this challenging phase the world is experiencing.
