As a result of the investigation opened with the Communiqué on Safeguard Measures in Import (Communiqué N2020/4) published in the Official Gazette dated May 30, 2020 and numbered 31140; an additional financial obligation has been imposed as a safeguard measure for 3 years in the import of "Synthetic staple fibers of polyesters (polyester fiber)" registered under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position of 5503.20.00.00.00.

According to the Presidental Decision published in the Official Gazette dated Agust 24, 2021 and numbered 31578, the additional financial obligation to be applied for imports has been determined as USD 60 /ton in the first year, USD 58 /ton in the second year and USD 56/ ton in the third year.
