In order to determine the strategic priorities of Tekfen Holding's Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) activities, a materiality analysis was conducted in 2018, covering group companies. The materiality analysis was carried out taking into account the holding's consolidated ESG practices. In this context, a sustainability roadmap was created that includes short, medium and long-term goals. In accordance with current legislation and new foreign trade regulations, the materiality analysis has begun to be updated using the double materiality methodology, taking into account the financial consequences of the impacts of development problems on company operations, in February and March 2024. The list of material issues that form the basis for the determination of sustainability goals is reviewed annually, taking into account external trends, risks and opportunities. ESG risks are regularly monitored and reported. Environmental risks and opportunities are reported annually within the scope of the Carbon Transparency Project (CDP) and information on how climate change and the water crisis are integrated into business strategies is shared with the public, both in CDP reports and in sustainability reports.

In order to ensure that sustainability activities can be carried out in an integrated structure, in line with a common strategy, and that the active participation of companies in the processes can be ensured, the impact areas in our value chain are identified and practices related to these areas are managed by the relevant employees and managers responsible for the subject. In line with Tekfen Holding's vision of creating value for all its stakeholders, 5 impact areas have been defined within the scope of the transformation from a single capital business model to a 6-capital business model, and working groups have been grouped by target impact. Working groups are structured to focus separately on environmental, social, human, innovation, produced and financial values at the impact points arising from our operations. They evaluate the impact, risks and opportunities arising from our operations and report to the Sustainability Executive Committee. The Sustainability Executive Committee consists of the Group Companies President, Vice Presidents, Sustainability Coordinator and General Managers of the Companies. The Sustainability Executive Committee operates under the Corporate Governance Committee. Tekfen Group Companies support the participation of women at all levels of the workforce and implement various projects targeting women's employment. Considering domestic violence as the most fundamental violation of human rights, Tekfen began providing its employees with a 24/7 Domestic Violence Helpline service in 2021, in line with its Domestic Violence Prevention Policy published in 2020. The Tekfen Foundation also provides microfinance support to women in collaboration with the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction (TİSVA) to create alternative income opportunities for women.

Coordination between the Legal departments of the Holding and Group Companies is carried out to manage risks arising from behaviors that do not comply with national and international legislation, internal procedures, and ethical rules. Within Tekfen Holding, there is an Ethics Committee responsible for the implementation and monitoring of business ethics rules. In 2018, an "Ethics Hotline" was introduced for employees to report violations of ethical rules. Furthermore, reports received are collected by an independent company, and based on the assessments conducted, corrective and preventive measures are followed up by the Holding Ethics Committee.
