In accordance with the Capital Markets Board of Turkey's Communiqué on Material Events Disclosure (II-15.1) Article 24/7, this announcement is to notify Borsa İstanbul with respect to the disclosure to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The SEC requires public companies listed in the U.S. to disclose the use of any conflict minerals* in their manufacturing processes, and whether such minerals originated in the Democratic Republic of Congo, or an adjoining country. Turkcell, also being publicly listed in the U.S., has prepared a conflict minerals disclosure for 2024.
On the basis of its reasonable country of origin inquiry as further described in its disclosure to the SEC, Turkcell has determined that it has no reason to believe that its necessary conflict minerals may have originated in the Democratic Republic of Congo, or an adjoining country. Our related disclosure to the SEC is available on our website at www.turkcell.com.tr/en/aboutus/investor-relations/quarterly-results.
* cassiterite, columbite-tantalite, gold, wolframite, and their derivatives, which are limited to tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold.
