It has been seen that there are some news in the media regarding the actions of the workers during the process of our collective labour agreement bargaining with Petrol – İş union.

The latest collective labour agreement between our company and Petrol – İş, authorised oil workers' union in our workplaces, has expired as of December 31st, 2016 and the renewal bargaining has been initiated on January 18th, 2017. During this process, as it had been the case in the previous collective bargaining, some actions and protests by some of our workers took place.

According to the Article 62 of the Turkish Act No. 6356 on Trade Unions and Collective Labour Agreements, our industry is included within the works in which strikes and lock-outs are prohibited. Therefore, there is no strike action taking place in our workplaces and there has not been any significant effect on our operations due to the actions of the workers.

Within this context, although it is not required to make a public disclosure according to the Capital Markets Board of Turkey's Communique on Material Events Disclosure No : II-15.1 for the events mentioned in the media, this disclosure is being made upon the questions of some of our investors and the request of Capital Markets Board of Turkey.

In case of a discrepancy between the Turkish and the English versions of this disclosure, the Turkish version shall prevail.
