While the highest-level governance bodies responsible for sustainability management at Turkish Airlines are the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, sustainability matters across the organization are addressed by the Sustainability Committee, which consists of senior executives of Turkish Airlines. The Sustainability Committee operates to evaluate sustainability risks and opportunities, determine management strategies, define sustainability policies, set short-, medium-, and long-term sustainability targets, review performance, ensure continuous improvement, and decide on enhancement projects to improve Turkish Airlines' sustainability performance. The committee also reports planned initiatives and outcomes to the Board of Directors.
To effectively manage sustainability efforts, sub-working groups have been established under the following categories: 'Sustainability Strategy,' 'Corporate Social Responsibility and Communication Projects,' 'Emissions Management,' and 'Sustainable Practices.' The Corporate Sustainability Management Department is responsible for tracking and reporting the conducted initiatives, while various departments within the organization are responsible for planning and implementing actions within their respective performance areas.

Turkish Airlines, in line with its adopted principle of "Continuous Improvement," joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA)'s IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) Management System Program, specifically designed for airlines, in 2021. Following an audit conducted by an independent third-party organization authorized by IATA in 2021, Turkish Airlines became the first airline to be directly awarded the highest-level certification of the program, the "IEnvA Program Stage 2 Certificate."
In 2023, our Company successfully completed the third-party audit, which is conducted every two years, with zero findings, thereby maintaining the right to use the IEnvA Management System Program certification.

Providing both monetary and non-monetary incentives for employees is crucial for effectively combating climate change, as it supports a sustainability culture, encourages individual actions to reduce carbon footprints, and raises awareness on climate-related issues, facilitating the necessary transition toward a sustainable future.
Within the framework of the Company's incentive plan, annual strategic targets are set each year for all employees, including our CEO, to achieve the long-term goals outlined in our 2033 Strategic Plan. If the annually determined targets are met, incentive payments will be made to all employees and senior management at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
The performance indicators defined in the incentive plan, which was created to integrate sustainability into all business processes, are aligned with our near-term greenhouse gas emission targets, which are part of our climate transition plan, and our 2050 carbon-neutral airline goal. The environmental targets included in the reward criteria of the performance incentive system have been publicly shared through our CDP Climate Change Report.

The majority of Turkish Airlines' efforts both domestically and internationally are carried out in collaboration with non-governmental organizations, various associations/foundations, universities, humanitarian aid organizations, and institutions working in the fields of disaster and famine, primarily focusing on disadvantaged individuals/groups and children.
Additionally, Turkish Airlines develops collaborations, participates in international organizations and initiatives, and plays an active role in setting industry standards to advance sectoral activities and achieve common goals regarding sustainability priorities. In this context, our Company has signed the Global SAF Declaration, established Türkiye's first sustainable aviation platform in 2023 in collaboration with Boeing and Istanbul Technical University, and continues to work with other stakeholders of the "Turkish Aviation Sustainability Alliance" to develop a roadmap for SAF. Our collaborations with various institutions and organizations on environmental matters are periodically shared with the public through our CDP Climate Change and Sustainability Reports.

With Türkiye’s ratification of the Paris Agreement and its commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2053, strategies have been reviewed by taking into account the agreements to which our country is a party, global requirements and stakeholders’ expectations. In line with this, Turkish Airlines has demonstrated its support for combating climate change with the goal of becoming a “2050 Carbon Neutral Airline”. This long-term emission reduction target, included in the 10-year strategy plan determined for 2023-2033, has taken its place among the milestones in Turkish Airlines’ growth strategy.
Turkish Airlines’ strategy and action plans for combating the climate crisis are comprehensively addressed in the Turkish Airlines Climate Transition Plan published in the first quarter of 2024, and are explained in detail in the “Combating Climate Change” section of our Annual Reports and in the relevant sections of our CDP Climate Change Reports.

Our affiliates, which have a direct impact on the products and services we offer to our customers, are also our critical suppliers. In this context, Turkish Airlines holds periodic meetings and detailed analyses in order to ensure that its subsidiaries and affiliates follow a path compatible with their sustainability strategies. In addition, it was decided by the Sustainability Committee in 2024 to analyze the current status of suppliers, determine short, medium and long-term sustainability goals and monitor these goals, and within this scope, a sustainability current status analysis study was conducted in order to increase the sustainability performance of critical suppliers. According to the results of the current status analysis, short-medium-long term targets were determined and the suppliers within this scope were started to be monitored.
In line with our commitment to be "Carbon Neutral by 2050", we evaluate the impacts in the value chain holistically with the broad perspective we have built, and share our work in this context with the public through our Sustainability Reports, Annual Reports and CDP Climate Change Reports.

An important pillar of the business ethics management process implemented throughout the Company is the detection and prevention of behaviours or suspicious situations contrary to ethical principles, particularly human rights, discrimination, bribery and corruption, conflict of interest and anti-competitive practices.
At Turkish Airlines, the Ethics Committee, consisting of five representatives (one chairman and four members) appointed by the General Manager, is responsible for the adoption of ethical values throughout the Company and their reflection on the work culture, making it a habit for employees to question whether their discourses and behaviours in the work environment are in compliance with ethical values, providing guidance to employees when they encounter suspicious situations, and resolving disputes that arise.
Necessary measures are taken in line with the results obtained after listening to the notifications received by the Ethics Committee and the Ethics Line we have established, listening to the employees in question and receiving the opinions of the relevant departments. Details of our dispute resolution processes are shared on our website and Ethics Line website.

The Company's sustainability strategy is defined as "holistically addressing all emerging environmental, social, and economic impacts, and creating value for the future beyond today's achievements through effective risk management, while meeting the expectations of employees, customers, suppliers, affiliates, all business partners, and shareholders in light of global trends, with our approach to business excellence and innovation."
In line with the Company's mission, vision, and core values, a roadmap for the sustainability strategy has been developed by evaluating long-term goals, as well as the risks and opportunities in achieving these goals, within the framework of sustainability priorities. These priorities were determined by considering industry and competitor practices, the contents of reporting frameworks such as WEF Global Risk Reports, GRI, SASB, and TCFD, as well as the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and stakeholder expectations.
The sustainability priorities, approved by Senior Management, will continue to be updated in the coming years in line with global developments and feedback received from our stakeholders.
