In our bank's performance system, there are targets related to CSR, although not all targets are publicly disclosed. A "Cost Management" performance criterion, which directly affects performance success, bonus payments, and rewards, was implemented in 2023 for branch managers and employees. Additionally, targets have been set for employees regarding the "Digital Approval" performance criterion. In this context, these performance criteria are directly related to "resource efficiency" and "cost savings" within the scope of sustainability.

The Environmental and Social Risk Management System is applied to loan applications of 20 million USD or more within the framework of the Environmental and Social Impact Management Policy. During the environmental and social risk assessment phase, companies are required to provide annual greenhouse gas emission data. After the evaluation, an action plan is created outlining any deficiencies, and the entire environmental and social assessment process, including the completion of the deficiencies identified in the action plans, is carried out through our bank's information system, VIT. In line with VakıfBank's sustainability approach, the supplier selection and compliance policy outlines the sustainability commitments expected from third parties involved in the product and service relationship, which have been publicly shared on the bank's website. For credit applications of 20 million USD and above, the Environmental and Social Risk Management System is applied to assess the environmental and social risks of companies during the credit allocation stage. Companies are evaluated using an assessment tool that includes criteria such as greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, labor rights, occupational health and safety, etc. An action plan is created for any shortcomings identified in relation to these topics. Within the scope of In-House Social Responsibility Projects: An awareness event for Chair Assembly was held in December in collaboration with the Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey, in observance of December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The VakıfBank Ebru Children’s Club exhibition was held in support of the Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV). In 2024, a coffee waste collection project was carried out at the VakıfBank Headquarters. A sales event was organized for products made from upcycled coffee waste. In 2024, sales events were organized in collaboration with non-governmental organizations. As part of the VakıfBank Goodness Ambassadors Storytelling school visit, a sustainability-themed event was held.
