Hamburg, 28.03.06 –The supervisory board of Reinecke + Pohl Sun Energy AG
(listed in the General Standard (ISIN: DE0005250708)) has ascertained the
annual statement of accounts for the business year 2005. In the past
business year the company realised a turnover of 52.58m Euro in corporation
according to IFRS with a result before interest and tax (EBIT) of 4.34m
Euros. With this, the Hamburg Photovoltaic Corporation exceeded the
forecasted turnover and results for 2005 by 13 and respectively 17 per cent
within the first year of business of the operative business transactions.
‘Since our operative subsidiaries first contributed to these results in the
periodic acquisition time, these figures reflect the successful business
development of our group incompletely. A totally consolidated year of
business would in fact yield a pro forma turnover of over 70m Euros,’
explained Patrick Arndt, Chief Financial Officer of Reinecke + Pohl Sun
Energy AG. Compared with the reported preliminary figures in February for
the business year 2005, the corporation’s EBIT margin of 8.3% instead of
8.0% turned out to be better than expected. The reasons for this among
other things are lower guarantee expenditures. With the annual surplus
amounting to 2.62m Euros, an operating margin of 5.0 per cent could be
achieved. The result per share in terms of IAS 33 amounts to 0.87 Euros.
In the fourth quarter of 2005 Reinecke + Pohl Sun Energy attained a
turnover of 25.53m Euro compared with 15.78m Euro in the third quarter of
2005 and 11.28m Euro for the time period from 1st January to 30 June 2005.
As common in the photovoltaic industry, the fourth quarter of 2005
developed the strongest turnover of the business year 2005. Furthermore,
the Maaß Regenerative Energien GmbH first contributed operatively to the
turnover in the fourth quarter, as first financial consolidation was on 8
September 2005.
