Reinecke + Pohl Sun Energy AG: Contract for 162 megawatts signed

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Hamburg, 23 June 2006 – Maaß Regenerative Energien GmbH, an operating subsidiary of Reinecke + Pohl Sun Energy AG, yesterday signed a module supply agreement for 162 MW with the Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer Baoding Tianwei Yingli at Intersolar, the world’s largest solar trade fair, in Freiburg. This represents a sales potential of around EUR 650 million. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) announced on 7 March 2006 has thus now been implemented: These extensive module deliveries will extend the existing collaboration between the two companies until 2010. “This agreement will further expand our outstanding business development platform and help us to significantly accelerate our expansion in the rest of Europe. We are focusing in particular on the Spanish market,” explains Martin Schultz-Colmant, Spokesman of the Executive Board at Reinecke + Pohl Sun Energy AG. With a total annual capacity of 100 MWp, Baoding Tianwei Yingli New Energy Resources Co., Ltd. is one of the largest module manufacturers in China. The company’s expansion plans provide for production capacities of 500 MWp by 2010. The modules are IEC certified and are used by various renowned German solar module providers.
