WPU – Waste Plastic Upcycling A/S announces appointment of new CEO
WPU - Waste Plastic Upcycling A/S (Euronext Growth Oslo: WPU) (“WPU” or the “Company”) hereby announces that the Board of Directors of WPU has decided to appoint Jeffrey van Geloof as CEO of WPU.
Jeffrey van Geloof is currently the Managing Director of the Vitol group’s VPR Refinery, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Vitol B.V. is the controlling shareholder of WPU.
Reference is made to company announcement no. 29 published by WPU on January 14, 2025 announcing the intention of Niels Henrik Bagge to resign as CEO of WPU.
Niels Henrik Bagge has dedicated many years to developing the Company, and has been particularly instrumental in the construction of the Company’s first commercial scale plant at Fårevejle, Denmark.
Chair of WPU’s Board of Directors, Tom Baker, says, “we would like to thank Niels for his dedication to the Company over the last five years, we hope he enjoys a well-earned break with this family.”
Niels Henrik Bagge says: “It has been five challenging but rewarding years, and I am proud of what the WPU team have achieved during this period. Vitol has been a solid partner, and the ongoing cooperation with Vitol has been very beneficial to the Company. My sincere thanks to Tom Baker and the rest of the Vitol Team for a prosperous cooperation. I wish WPU all the best in the future.”
