Change in the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland: CEO leaves the
company/ CSO and CFO jointly take over responsibilities
The Chairman of the Management Board René Schuster leaves the Management
Board by mutual agreement effective 31 January 2014.The Supervisory Board
today approved a respective termination agreement. Until the end of
September René Schuster continues to advise the Chairperson of the
Supervisory Board Eva Castillo.
The Management Board members Rachel Empey (Chief Financial Officer, CFO)
and Markus Haas (Chief Strategy Officer, CSO) will jointly take over the
responsibilities of the Chairman René Schuster in addition to their
existing responsibilities. With effect from 1 February 2014, Rachel Empey
will focus on the operational business and Markus Haas will focus on the
preparation of the E-Plus integration.
