In the past financial year 2001, sales increased by 5.4 % to around euro 250 million. The Biotest Group with its pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical devices divisions therefore fulfilled the sales target. After adjustments for changes in the companies consolidated, the sales growth amounts to almost 7%. Sales growth was mainly achieved in international business. Furthermore, domestic sales has also increased by 2%, taking into consideration the changes in the companies consolidated. Every business division contributed again to sales growth: Business division 2001/ Mio. Euro Pharmaceutical 167 (+ 3.7 %) Diagnostic 68 (+ 7.4 %) Medical Devices 15 (+ 17.4 %) Total 250 (+ 5.4 %) For the current Financial Year 2002, the company expects a clear rise in sales. This growth is based on the well established pharmaceutical products Haemoctin, Hepatect CP and Pentaglobin as well as new products from transfusion diagnostics and the medical devices division. The profit for 2001 will be announced on April, 12, 2002.
