The Board of Directors of Citaglobal wishes to announce that Citaglobal Land Sdn Bhd (“CLSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had on 12 November 2025 accepted a SST dated 10 November 2025 from JBA as the contractor for the Dual-Function Pond for Raw Water Source and Flood Mitigation Package A Project for a contract sum of RM628 million (“Contract”).
The Contract is a design and build contract, where works under the Contract include but not limited to construction of a weir and raw water pumping station at Sungai Klang, installation of raw water pipelines from the raw water pumping station at Sg. Klang to Sg. Air Hitam, upgrading and integrating 10 existing ponds into detention and sedimentation systems, construction of side spillway and stilling basin near the Sungai Air Hitam – Sungai Klang confluent, and the associated mechanical and electrical works including instrumentation and control system works, and infrastructure works.
The Contract shall be completed within 48 months from date of possession of the site and will include a Phase 1 – 12-month initial scope focusing on the dual-function pond and sedimentation pond systems.
For information, JBA had called for a tender exercise for Dual-Function Pond for Raw Water Source and Flood Mitigation Package A Project in March 2025 and CLSB submitted its bid for such tender exercise in July 2025.
The acceptance of the Contract is in the ordinary course of business of CLSB.
The Contract will further increase and enhance the order book of Citaglobal and its subsidiaries (“Group”) to approximately RM1.7 billion, based on the Group’s outstanding order book of RM1.1 billion as at June 2025.
The Contract will not have any effect on the issued share capital and the shareholdings of the substantial shareholders of the Company.
The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings, earnings per share and net assets of the Group during the Contract period.
The Company does not foresee any exceptional risk other than the normal operational risks associated with the Contract. Nevertheless, the Company will take the necessary steps to mitigate the risk as and when it arises.
None of the Directors and major shareholders of the Group and/or persons connected to them has any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the Contract.
Information on the Dual-Function Pond for Raw Water Source and Flood Mitigation Package A Project
The strategic project aims to deliver a dual-function pond that will serve as both a flood mitigation system and a raw water resource, supporting Selangor’s long-term water supply security, reducing flood prone areas and environmental sustainability. It has been classified as a high-priority flood mitigation project implemented under the 12th Malaysia Plan and aims to increase Selangor’s water supply reserve margin to over 15%.
