CANCOM IT Systeme AG (German security code: WKN 541 910)
Interim results: sales increased 66 % and EBITDA 37 %
In first six-months 2001, consolidated sales of CANCOM Group increased by 66
percent over the prior year’s period to DM 196.4 million and, just as the
result, are conform with planning.
Gross yield in the period under review went up from 12.9 percent in 2000 to 19.5
percent in the first half of 2001, equivalent to a nominal increase of 146
percent from DM 15.2 million to DM 37.3 million. Consequently, the value-added
was clearly increased over last year’s comparable period.
Consolidated EBITA was DM 3.7 million, that means 37 percent over the first half
2000 figure.
As in the prior year, consolidated EBIT reached DM 1.9 million. It must be
considered that the prior year’s consolidated EBIT was only slightly influenced
by the investment and participation sector, first created in April 2000.
Planning envisages that the EBIT of this sector will only result negative in the
first six months of 2001. As a result, the investment and participation sector
will no longer burden the consolidated EBIT in the second half of 2001.
International business went up by 35 percent in the first six months of the
year.
Annual planning for 2001 forecasts sales of DM 502 million with an EBIT of DM
10.0 million. Despite the actual slowdown in the economic environment, the
CANCOM Executive Board assumes that the 2001 target figures will be reached.
