The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— CANCOM IT Systeme AG announces successful first quarter of 2006 – € 58.4 million sales revenues in the first quarter of 2006, compared with € 53.6 million in the first quarter of 2005 (up 8.9 percent) – € 11.7 million gross profit, compared with € 10.3 million in the first quarter of 2005 (up 13.7 percent) – € 0.9 million EBIT, compared with € 0.7 million in the first quarter of 2005 (up 31.4 percent) Jettingen-Scheppach Germany, 9 May 2006 The first-quarter sales revenues and profits of the CANCOM Group, one of the leading suppliers of IT infrastructure and IT services, show a significant increase on the figures for the first quarter of 2005, according to preliminary figures. The reason for this growth is the expansion of its higher-margin offerings and higher-value IT services. Consolidated sales revenues rose from € 53.6 million to € 58.4 million – an increase of 8.9 percent. The consolidated gross profit rose by 13.7 percent, from € 10.3 million to € 11.7 million. Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 8.7 percent, from € 1,0 million to € 1.1 million. At € 0.9 million, consolidated earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) have also risen by 31.4 percent in comparison with the first quarter of 2005. In view of the positive development during the first quarter, the Executive Board also expects a significant increase in sales revenues and profits over the year as a whole.
