Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB") wishes to announce that TNB Properties Sdn. Bhd. ("TNBP" or "the Company"), a wholly owned subsidiary of TNB, has on 4 June 2026, held its General Meeting at which the shareholder resolved that the Company be wound up voluntarily pursuant to Section 439(1) of the Companies Act 2016 ("Voluntary Winding-Up") and that Encik Imran Azam bin Safar of Messrs. MA Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency Services be appointed as Liquidator of the Company.
TNBP was incorporated on 6 October 1993 and was principally engaged in providing property management services. TNBP is currently dormant.
The Company is not a major subsidiary of TNB and its cost of investment is RM210,000. The Voluntary Winding-Up constitutes TNB's Group rationalisation efforts to wind-up inactive/dormant subsidiaries within TNB Group.
The Voluntary Winding-Up is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings and net assets of TNB Group for the Financial Year ending 31 December 2026. It is also not expected to have any operational impact on TNB Group.
None of the Directors or Major Shareholders of TNB and/or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in relation to the Voluntary Winding-Up.
