Ad hoc announcement
AGRANA/Economy
AGRANA to Sell Fruit Preparations Plant in Nauen, Germany, to the Wild Group
Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP.
The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.
——————————————————————————
AGRANA acquired fruit preparations manufacturer DSF (Deutsch-Schweizerische
Früchteverarbeitung GmbH) based in Constance, Germany, in July of this year.
DSF’s German production facilities are located in Constance and Nauen.
The acquisition requires approval by the German Bundeskartellamt, or federal
office of fair trading. The Bundeskartellamt wishes to strengthen competition
in the German market for fruit preparations for the dairy industry and has
ordered AGRANA to reduce its market share in Germany. AGRANA plans to do so
by selling the facility in Nauen, Brandenburg, to German group Rudolf Wild
GmbH & CoKG. AGRANA and Wild have already signed the corresponding contract.
Approval procedures by the German federal office of fair trading should be
completed by the end of this year.
