After an in depth review of all facts and based on information from
Panasonic as well as on results of discussions with other suppliers, AT&S
does not expect any revenue losses or supply bottlenecks after the fire at
the Panasonic plant in Enns last week.
On the one hand, Panasonic will be able to provide additional capacities
out of its Italian plant. These capacities should compensate the volumes,
supposed to come out of the Austrian plant in Enns. AT&S got already in the
past more than half of its Panasonic supply for Leoben out of this Italian
plant. On the other hand, AT&S is presently qualifying several other
suppliers.
Finally the inventory of both Panasonic and AT&S is sufficient to provide
material for another 3 weeks.
