The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– — Constituent Meeting of Supervisory Board of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG – Board of Management Appointed — In today’s meeting the new Supervisory Board of Carl Zeiss Meditec was constituted and the Board of Management of the new stock corporation appointed. Dr. Michael Kaschke was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Deputy Chairman is Alexander von Witzleben. The Supervisory Board has allocated the responsibilities of the Board of Management as follows: Ulrich Krauss (38) was appointed President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG and will be responsible for the areas Sales, Marketing, Service and Human Resources in future. Dr. Walter-Gerhard Wrobel (49) will look after the areas Operations, Research & Development, and Quality within the Board of Management. Bernd Hirsch (32) will be responsible for the areas Finance, Investor Relations and Legal Affairs. Dr. Michael Dettelbacher (43) will assume responsibility for the areas Information Technology and Infrastructure. At the same time, the internal rules of procedure of both the Supervisory Board and the Board of Management as well as the organizational structure of the new corporation were also passed at the meeting.
