Issuer’s information/explanatory remarks concerning this ad hoc announcement:
Hungarian communities
With the take-over of the NÖSIWAG, now renamed evn wasser, Austrias second
largest water supplier, EVN will extend its range as a multi-service utility to
include drinking water supply and therefore further strengthen its image as
provider of state-of-the-art infrastructure at reasonable prices in Lower
Austria. In future, access to the regional wastewater sector will also be of
major importance to the further development of evn wassser.
In addition, the existing know-how in the water business will be employed for
individual projects in neighbouring markets. For example, six communities to the
southwest of Budapest, near Dunavarsany, which is a region with strong economic
and population growth, have already awarded EVN operating licences for their
drinking water supply and wastewater disposal.
