EVN AG: EVN makes a bid for the Macedonian power company ESM

Privatisation of the company is to be completed by the Republic of Macedonia in the course of an international, public tendering process. ESM provides power to the whole of the Republic of Macedonia, which has an area of around 25,713 km². The supply territory contains a population of 2.02 million and the company has some 680,000 customers. In 2004, electricity sales to network customers totalled 4,329 GWh.
