The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Lenzing Group Publication of Preliminary Results 2001 postponed As the audit of the group financial statements has not been completed, the publication of the preliminary results 2001 of the Lenzing Group, scheduled for 4 March 2002, has been postponed. The new date will be announced as it has been fixed. There is no question that, regardless of this delay, the past business year took a very good course in spite of the diffucult overall economic conditions. Sales will be slightly above last year’s level, the results should be below those of the record year 2000. Nevertheless the result should be one of the best in the history of the Lenzing Group.
