8098 Zurich/Switzerland), has informed us according to section 21 para. 1
WpHG that its voting rights on METRO AG, Düsseldorf, Germany (address:
Schlüterstraße 1, 40235 Düsseldorf), ISIN: DE0007257503, WKN: 725750, have
fallen below the 3% limit of the voting rights on 9 April 2008 and amount
to 2.99% (this corresponds to 9720916 voting rights).
According to section 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG, 1.50% of the voting
rights (this corresponds to 4857029 voting rights) is to be attributed to
UBS AG.
