REDUCTION IN THE TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTING RIGHTS AFTER CANCELLATION OF
TREASURY SHARES


Pursuant to para 93 (1) of the Austrian Stock Exchange Act, Mayr-Melnhof
Karton AG hereby gives notice that the total number of voting rights
amounts to 20,000,000 by the end of June 2010. The cancellation of
2,000,000 treasury shares was effective as of June 17, 2010.
