OMV: Miano gas field in Pakistan commences production Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– -Sales gas of 2.5 million m3 per day with lease of at least 13 years -OMV Pakistan is operator of an international joint venture OMV, the Central European oil and gas group, is pleased to announce that the Miano Joint Venture has commenced production at the Miano gas field in Pakistan. OMV (Pakistan) Exploration Gesellschaft m.b.H. (OMV Pakistan), a wholly owned subsidiary of OMV Aktiengesellschaft, Austria, is operator of the joint venture. At the end of the commissioning period planned for the end of January, the gas sales deliveries of about 100 million (mn) scf/d (2.5 mn m3/d) meet 5% of Pakistan’s gas demand. “This is a very important step towards reaching the mid- term goal of establishing Pakistan as core area for OMV’s international E&P portfolio”, Gerhard Roiss, member of the OMV Executive Board with responsibility for Exploration and Production (E&P), commented.
