Die Geschäftsentwicklung der CENIT AG verlief auch in den ersten neun Monaten 1999 weiter planmässig. Trotz zurückhaltender Investitionstätigkeit einiger Kunden – bedingt durch die Jahr 2000-Problematik – erzielte das am Neuen Markt notierte Systemhaus gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum einen Umsatzanstieg um 44 Prozent auf 103,4 Millionen DM (30.09.1998: 71,7 Millionen DM). Gleichzeitig legte der Rohertrag um 54 Prozent auf 52,2 Millionen DM zu (30.09.1998: 33,8 Millionen DM). Das operative Ergebnis stieg um 38 Prozent auf 3,6 Millionen DM (30.09.1998: 2,6 Millionen DM). “Wir haben verstärkt in Vertriebsressourcen investiert und konnten die Zahl der Mitarbeiter zum Ende des Berichtszeitraums auf insgesamt 410 erhöhen (30.09.1998: 281). Stand heute haben wir mit 430 Beschäftigten bereits unsere Planungen für 1999 erreicht”, kommentiert Falk Engelmann, Sprecher des Vorstands. “Dadurch erwarten wir zusätzlich positive Impulse auf das vierte, im Jahresverlauf traditionell stärkste Quartal.” Der Vorstand geht weiterhin davon aus, die ehrgeizigen Ziele für 1999 zu erreichen. Danach soll der Umsatz um 38 Prozent auf 166 Millionen DM (1998: 120,5 Millionen DM), das operative Ergebnis um rund 60 Prozent (1998: 9,8 Millionen DM) und der Gewinn pro Aktie (nach DVFA) um 55 Prozent auf 1,75 DM (1998: 1,13 DM) steigen. —————————————————– —————————————————– CENIT AG: Business developing according to plan Stuttgart, October 21st 1999. In the first nine months of 1999, CENIT AG’s business continued to develop according to plan. Despite cautiousness on the part of some customers with regard to investments – prompted by the Y2K problem – this systems provider with a Neuer Markt listing boosted sales by 44 per cent on the previous year to DM 103.4 million (September 30th 1998: DM 71.7 million). At the same time, gross profit rose by 54 per cent to DM 52.2 million (September 30th 1998: DM 33.8 million). Operating earnings rose by 38 per cent to DM 3.6 million (September 30th 1998: DM 2.6 million). “We stepped up our investments in sales resources and raised the number of employees to a total of 410 by the end of the period under review (September 30th 1998: 281). Today, with 430 employees, we have already reached the target set for 1999”, comments Falk Engelmann, spokesman for the board of management. “We expect this to give additional positive stimulation to the fourth quarter when, traditionally, we do the best business of the year.” The board of management expects to reach the ambitious targets set for 1999, namely, boosting sales by 38 per cent to DM 166 million (1998: DM 120.5 million), operating earnings by about 60 per cent (1998: DM 9.8 million) and earnings per share (according to DVFA) by 55 per cent to DM 1.75 (1998: DM 1.13).
