Alaminos BESS Penalty
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Alaminos BESS Inc. (ABI), a subsidiary of ACEN CORPORATION, received a notice on 1 July 2026 from the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) imposing a Php 78,713.16 financial penalty for non-compliance with the Reserve Conformance Standards (RCS) for the April 2026 billing period. The penalty was imposed under the Ancillary Services Monitoring Manual, which sets the standards and parameters for assessing Ancillary Service Providers' (ASPs) compliance with their reserve obligations.
Based on PEMC's assessment, the non-compliance involved fifty-one (51) intervals beginning March 26, 2026, during which ABI did not meet certain RCS requirements for its Regulating Reserve and Contingency Reserve services. The resulting penalty amounted to Php 78,713.16. The non-compliance was attributable to operational limitations encountered during the relevant intervals.
ABI will settle the amount in accordance with PEMC's billing and settlement procedures.
ABI remains committed to complying with applicable market rules and supporting the reliable operation of the grid.
