Announcement According to § 93 of the Austrian Stock Exchange Act

Vienna, 17 December, 2007: The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY)
has been informed that the shareholding of Capital Research and Management
Company as of 13 December 2007 was 23,105,203 shares or 5.02% of the outstanding
shares. 

At the last disclosure as of 16 October 2007 the stake of Capital Research and
Management Company was approximately 4.8% of the outstanding shares and as of 31
December 2006 it was approximately 7.7%.

Under Austrian law a company needs to announce if the stake of a shareholder
exceeds or falls below a specific level (e.g. 5%).
