ATS (plus 8 % gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres), der EBIT (Betriebserfolg) 1.480 Mio. ATS (plus 56 %), das Ergebnis der gewöhnlichen Geschäftstätigkeit 1.379 Mio. ATS (plus 57 %) und der Periodenüberschuß 1.328 Mio. ATS (plus 73 Prozent). Der Betriebserfolg vor Abschreibungen (EBITD) belief sich auf 2.748 Mio. ATS (plus 31 %). Die VOEST-ALPINE STAHL-Gruppe beschäftigte zum 30. September 1998 14.424 Mitarbeiter (31. März 1998: 14.416 Mitarbeiter – jeweils ohne Lehrlinge). _______________________________________________________________ PUBLICATION OF VOEST-ALPINE STAHL AG – HALF-YEAR REPORT OF THE FINANCIAL YEAR 1998/99 The balance for the first half of the 1998/99 financial year in an overview: Consolidated Group turnover amounted to ATS 18,136 million (8 % higher than the comparative figure from the preceding year), the EBIT (operating result) stood at ATS 1,480 million (56% up), the result from ordinary activities totalled ATS 1,379 million (57% up) and the half-year profit was ATS 1,328 million (73% up). The operating results before depreciation (EBITD) amounted to ATS 2,748 million (31 % up).
