The rights subscription and global offer periods closed on 24 April 2002. 3,187,332 of the new shares were sold through the take up of pre-emption rights. The remaining 3,412,668 shares were placed in the global offering to institutional and private investors. The global offering was substantially oversubscribed and the shares were broadly placed with new and existing shareholders. The rights subscription and offer price were determined through a bookbuilding process and were fixed at EUR 32.5 per share.
